I know many people think Santa is just for the kids. I used to be one of them. But this year, I want to have that childlike wonder back. I want to remember Christmas as a time of miracles; as more than just the high point of my least favorite season. I want to be focused on more than just the deadline I've set to finish everyone's gifts. Instead of hating winter because of the snow, the ice, and the lack of all things summery, I really want to enjoy it this time instead of just endure it.
So I just wrote to Santa Claus. If you go to www.dearsanta.com, you (and/or your children) can write to Santy and apparently he'll write back.
I'm not so far gone as to believe what I wished for in my letter will actually find its way to me on Christmas morning, but at least it's a step in the right direction.
