Your sugar for today is Melanie Lynskey. Many of you may remember her from 'Ever After' (she played the cute and friendly sister, Jacqueline De Ghent - I couldn't find any good pics).I chose her for this week's sugar because I love her work on 'Two and a Half Men' and I've seen a few episodes this week. In fact, she was the best part of the show, and I was very sad when she left. It's always fun when she makes a guest appearance, but the show hasn't been nearly as good since she left.
I have to be honest that I don't really know much about her career other than these two roles. I looked her up on IMDB and saw that she was in a number of other films, but unfortunately our local library doesn't carry most of them, so I can't get a copy and see if she's still as entertaining. And apparently she was in 'Coyote Ugly', but I have no desire to see that so I'll just have to take other peoples' word for it.
Since it was 'Two and a Half Men' that inspired this post, let's go back to that. She played this crazy yet very intelligent neighbor/stalker who aside from being nuts was also very sweet. I kept hoping that her character would get together with Charlie and be happy. Come to think of it, her character was the only one I cared about being happy. So the show has lost a lot of its sparkle since she left. For me it has lost all of it's emotional attachment. I still watch it and laugh, but it's just not the same.
