Commercials I Really Hate

Okay so if you've talked to me lately, you know I hate hate HATE those Swiffer commercials. From trying to get me to believe that a mop has legal representation to the idea a broom could order flowers, these commercials just get under my skin. It's a good thing my vacuum kicks complete ass, because I couldn't bring myself to buy a Swiffer even if I really really wanted one.

But even as annoying as those ads are, there's a new kid in town. Glade has completely stolen the "Wow Lyndsie Hates This" thunder from Swiffer. Maybe you know which ones I'm talking about. There's a whole series of them where the lady always lies that no, it's not Glade, it's something else. Explain to me so I understand. Why would Glade go with the "yeah, she's ashamed it's a Glade product...Genius!" Wha? If the person selling it doesn't want to admit she uses it...um...yeah, that's a great idea. Not. Which is too bad because they actually make a pretty great smelling product. Which I won't buy while these commercials are on the air.

*Still looking at you, Swiffer, and shaking my fist*

Finally, the Progressive.com commercials. Has anyone else noticed that "Flo" the saleswoman welcomes her customers to Progressive dot com, meaning it's not a bricks and mortar store. . . so how are those people there buying insurance?! Argh I can't believe how bugged I get at this stuff. It's ridiculous. Oh and a "tricked out nametag" (really just a piece of plastic that says Flo on it) would not cost 200 bucks. Grr people. I mean really.

Am I alone in hating these?
