What a Fabulous Weekend

This weekend was a busy one, but it was also wonderful. Friday night Richard and I babysat for my sister's 4 kids while my sister and bro-in-law went to a concert with my parents. We always have fun with Avyrie, Dyllan, Logan, and Jocie, and Friday was no exception. All four of them crack me up and they're so clever. I love being with them.

Saturday we headed off to Orem to Pirate Island Pizza for Logan's birthday party. The weather was absolutely beautiful, and I loved that I got to wear my capris and flipflops in mid October! (It's the small things in life!) Pirate Island was a fun place and the kids really seemed to enjoy it. Afterward we went to Spanish Fork for cake and ice cream and the BYU game at my mom and dad's. Richard beat Jaymie, Mike, and me at Nerts for a few hours, which is always fun. Then after cake the Fellows Fam went home and my mom kept us playing Nerts until after midnight. It was a VERY long ride home!

Also this weekend, we went and saw the movie Whip It and we both liked it a lot. We were so glad, since a few weeks ago we were both disappointed with a movie we were excited to see. Richard also took me to Sampan for yummy Chinese food, and then shopping. Then when we got home we played Scrabble and watched Doogie Howser MD. Fabulous.

Richard originally took today (Monday) off to join me, Dad, Grandma, Jaymie, Logan and Jocie at the zoo, but due to several issues, that got canceled. So instead, it was another fabulous date day. He was so good to me. He made today about me. I've been craving sun-dried tomato bagels, so he bought me some from Einstein Bros. I LOVE the ocean and have been needing a fix of it, so he did the best thing he could: he took me to the aquarium! I loved him for even thinking of it. Then after an afternoon nap we had leftover Chinese and watched "Dancing with the Stars." I know he's not all *that* into it, but I think it's so cute he'll watch it with me every week and even call in to vote. I love this man for who he is and how he is and how he makes me feel on days like today. I loved seeing the wonder in his eyes and hearing the excitement in his voice at the aquarium. We got to "pet" stingrays and he was so happy to do it.

This weekend (and Monday) has been so exactly what I've needed that I can't express to him how much it meant to me. Last week was very hard for me and so for him to try so hard to make me genuinely happy just touches my heart. He takes such good care of me in so many different ways. So, since I can't think of any better way to say it, thank you, Richard. You raise me up.
