So, we kind of found a new house tonight. Updated kitchen with more cabinets and counter space, nice paint, new carpet, fewer repairs to do... and a lot less jackassery to put up with cause we don't have to get approval from a bajillion banks like with the other house.

We need to go look at it during the day before we put in an offer (we tend to go walk through houses pretty late at night), but so far it's looking good. Please cross your fingers that we'll end up with a house we like soon!

We also walked through this house that reminded me so much of my grandparents' old house. I'm not even kidding...original appliances from the 50s or 60s even. Shag carpet, but this blue carpet in the basement that was exactly the carpet my grandparents had. Kinda took me back in time. The crazy part is that both Richard and I really dug it...until we found the one I already told you about.

UPDATE TO THIS POST: Yeah, we didn't even get a chance to walk through it again. It went under contract the very next day. Sadness abounds.
