Mean People Suck

After waiting semi-patiently for over three weeks now, Richard and I are ready to get an answer about whether or not we can proceed in buying this house. We've been accepted by two of the three parties, and got sick of waiting. So we had our realtor (Richard's dad) call the bank (with the okay of the listing agent for the sellers), and wow. What a jerk.

Jon (Richard's dad) was in the process of leaving this guy a voice mail when the guy called back. He told Jon "I'm not going to listen to your voice mail. I have over 500 waiting for me. I don't even know if this house is assigned to me because my system is down." Then he told Jon he didn't even want to talk to him, and to have the listing agent of the sellers call. What a prince, huh.

Um, I highly doubt his system has been down for three weeks. This is so frustrating to me. Why would he treat someone this way, especially when it's likely we'll be the ones buying this house? I hate it when people are rude just for the sake of being rude. I especially hate it when things could move along so much faster and more easily if the guy had just taken a minute to hear Jon out.

I never realized buying a house would be such a huge pain. And this is only the "putting in an offer" stage. ARgh.

I hear you, baby, I hear you! This guy's a total retard and I'm thinking we should get his name and plaster it all over the 'Net.

Are these foreclosed-on properties? That's got to be the one really big downside, is working with the banks. :( I'm sorry. I hope the guy pulls his head out of his butt soon.

Wow. Results and a half. Gotta call you out in front of the class more often. :) Sorry about your house troubles. That dude sounds really lame.

I'm so sorry that he's making your life miserable just because he can. It sucks that you're just waiting on him! Hope you get an answer soon so that you can get into the house or at least be able to move on if he really is a pain.
